The job holder is responsible for overseeing the Risk and Business Continuity Department including risk governance and mitigation development and supervising risk assessment in order to minimize risk at Zain.    


Strategy Management:

Contribute to the formulation and implementation of Directorate Strategy and Plans as befitting the Sector and overall strategic objectives.                        

Formulate and communicate the performance objectives and continuously monitor progress and alignment towards overall objectives.

Department and Team Management:    

Manage the implementation of policies and procedures in order to ensure the fulfillment of organizational requirements whilst delivering high-quality services.                       

Manage the operations, deliver expertise, encourage teamwork and align work processes to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets and engage employees.                            

Monitor implementation of the yearly budget and control costs in order to respect allocated budget.

Risk Factors Identification:          

Oversee risk assessment activities to identify risk factors within Zain, quantify impact and prioritize in order to develop mitigation strategies.    

Operational and Physical Risks Identification:     

Identify operational and physical risks (using vulnerability scanning and other forms) that could impact the business continuity of Zain and ensure mitigation plans are set.

Risk Management Strategy:       

Develop and monitor Zain Risk Management approach and strategy to include identification of internal and external business risks and mitigation actions.

Risk Mitigation Framework Development:           

Develop Zain risk mitigation framework against political, security, social and environmental risks, and detail initiatives to be cascaded to Sectors for implementation.

BC Risk Mitigation Development:             

Develop Zain business continuity risk mitigation framework and detail initiatives to be cascaded to Sectors for implementation.

Mitigation Compliance:

Monitor compliance to mitigation initiatives for identified risk factors and take appropriate action in case of non-compliance.

Insurance Selection:      

Manage the selection of insurance parties and contracts related to risk management as per Zain requirements.

Training and Awareness :

Manage training sessions to educate and train employees of risk awareness within the organization.


Develop reports highlighting all risk assessment and business continuity activities for decision-making purposes.

People Management:   

Monitor employee performance and submit continuous feedback to encourage and support employees’ professional development and guide training programs implementation.


Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree is Preferable. Business Administration or equivalent.

A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with at least 6 years in a similar role.
